Who are we

Firearm Safety and Security Organization (FSS) is a national non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting peace, safety, and responsible firearm management across Somalia. Established in response to widespread misuse of firearms and the need for stronger arms control, FSS works with government institutions, security agencies, and communities to build a safer and more stable Somalia. The organization supports the Federal Government of Somalia and state-level authorities in establishing comprehensive firearm regulations, improving storage and tracking systems, and foster ing community awareness on the risks of gun violence.

To reduce gun-related violence and enhance public safety in Somalia through responsible firearm management, community engagement, research, and advocacy aligned with international best practices.

Vision

A peaceful and secure Somalia where firearms are responsibly managed, and communities live free from the threat of gun violence.
