Firearm proliferation is one of Somalia’s most pressing challenges. The lifting of the UN arms embargo in 2023 has created both opportunities and risks. Without strong safety measures, illegal weapons can easily find their way into the wrong hands, fueling violence and instability.
Our initiative provides a comprehensive solution: rigorous firearm licensing, specialized safety training, and community-led awareness programs — all designed to save lives and create a safer Somalia.
